How to act towards your ex girlfriend

0

Feeling desperate? Here is a guide to how to handle your break up.

1. Be yourself! As hard as it may seem, be the person he first fell in love with, it is important to be as happy as possible. And just a tip, actually to to "be" happy. Trust me, he will be able to tell if youre a fake or not. Oh, and one more thing, dont take the phrase "Be Yourself" too seriously, no matter what the magazines say. Its going to make you look desperate if you dress like your going to the prom, but it will indeed make you look like a hag if you wear those old sweatpants and a tee shirt youve had for eight years. Dress cute, not too cute tidy a little make up not over top feel comfy .

2. Stand your ground in a nice way dont be a push over and take what he says! Dont be mean to him Dont cry or show your feelings like women do keep them under your hat men just cant deal with this ,, laugh really loud when he walks by, flirt with other guys, or ask your friends to see if he still likes you. Look honey. Hes not gonna admit to liking you, no matter how he feels! Why? It makes him feel powerful. Okay maybe not the mean part, "that" just hurts his feelings and makes him hate you. Do you really want to get yourself into that mess?

3. "Act be a bit aloof too! like you dont care that youre not together anymore." Thats what the old article said before I improved it. Let me just tell you now, that is WRONG. WRONGWRONGWRONG. You must NOT care that your not together anymore. Dont act like the confident person you wish you were, BE HER! You can find someone else wonderful who WILL love you back!

4. Be a friend. Not a frinimy, not a bestie, just a friend. MY golden rule, and I quote from the BIBLE, (yeah thats right, Im a christian) - "Treat others how you wish to be treated." Yeah, its true.

5. Drill it into your head that you dont need him. You dont. And dont waste your time writing down 4,000 reasons that your awesome, youll have plenty of time to think about it when you get out of your house! Go for a walk, bike ride, or just sit outside. Being crammed in your house where you have no fresh air will NOT help you.

6. Dont try to get his attention by laughing really loud when he walks by or flirting with other guys. It will only make him jealous. Its not like hes gonna crawling back to you and beg for mercy, anyway.

7. Youll be able to tell if hes trying to be your friend, enemy, or boyfriend. Kindness = friendship. Rudeness = enemies. References to break up = boyfriend. DONT be his enemy. If you choose to take him back, dont seem too excited. But no matter what, be a friend and REMEMBER MY GOLDEN RULE!

How to avoid my ex girlfriend

0

Is there anything more annoying than when someone avoids you intentionally? Its enough to drive anyone batty. Its especially hard when the person ignoring you is the person you love. Take for instance, when your ex girlfriend avoids you. You want to talk to her, right? You want to keep trying to get her back but thats impossible if she doesnt answer your calls and never replies to your text messages. Should you march up to her front door and demand a chance to plead your case? Or are you better off calling her repeatedly until she does pick up? Neither of these is the right choice. If your ex girlfriend is avoiding you, you need to start paying attention to the message shes trying to send you.

If your ex girlfriend is avoiding you its because she has absolutely no desire to talk with you. Its very unlikely that its because shes so busy she doesnt have time to return your calls and its not because shes so overwrought with pain because of the break up that she would be a withering mess if she heard your voice. If a woman wants to be with her ex boyfriend again, she tells him. She makes it clear by her behavior which typically includes begging him to take her back and following him around like a lovesick puppy dog. A woman who loves her ex doesnt avoid him, its really as simple as that.

The question youve got to face now is whether you should give up or get her back. Theres one way to determine this. Look into your heart. If some time has passed since the break up and youre still convinced this is the woman for you, its time to try and get her back. That may seem impossible given the fact that she is avoiding you but sometimes you have to face the challenge head on and find a way around it.

To begin with, drop all contact for awhile. The very fact that shes avoiding you is reason enough for you to take a breather. Youre not going to get her to suddenly let her guard down enough that shell be open to a discussion about your relationship. That wont happen. You need to take a step back for at least a few weeks to not only show her that you can respect her need for no contact but to gain better perspective for yourself.

Once some time has passed, you can then reach out to your ex again. Instead of calling, send her a text message or an email simply asking how she is. If youve been quiet for a few weeks, shell be surprised to see a note from you and chances are very good that shell respond in a positive way. Be certain not to push for too much too soon. If you do that, shell go right back to avoiding you all over again.

How to be friends with your ex girlfriend

0

Figuring out how to be friends with your ex-girlfriend is the only thing harder than figuring out how to deal with the breakup. Many people want to stay friends with their exes because they have such a connection to their ex after sharing their life’s most intimate details with them. Learning how to separate your past relationship from your new found friendship can be tricky.
  1. Determine you and your ex-girlfriend are both thinking of the same kind of friendship. Make sure that you both want the same kind of friendship. Saying, “I still want to be friends” when breaking up is a very common phrase to say. You need to determine the kind of friendship that you and your ex-girlfriend both want to have. And yes you both must agree on the kind of friendship as well! Are you going to keep in touch online, visit each other often, or are you just going to be kind in public settings?
  2. Agree that your past hurt is to be left in your past. Sometimes it is hard to be friends with your ex-girlfriend because one of you may have a grudge with the other from your failed relationship. If you couldn’t make your relationship work then how can you make a friendship work dwelling on the failed relationship? Talk to your ex-girlfriend and make sure you both agree that your friendship means enough to leave old heartaches in the past.
  3. Realize that certain privileges are gone. No matter who ended the relationship you have lost your right to care about who she talks to, what she does, and most importantly who she dates! As a friend you can try to express your concern if you think she is making a bad choice, but she doesn’t have to listen to you or take your word for more than any other average friend of hers any longer. According to Life Script, the hardest part of breaking up is realizing that you won’t be involved in your ex’s daily life anymore.” Can you handle that realization?
  4. Draw lines and stick to them firmly! Just like your past heartaches anything from your past as a couple should not be relived as a friendship. This does not mean that you cannot continue to go to the same places together, it just means that you cannot do it in the same manner. Being friends with your ex-girlfriend means that you can now treat her like one of the guys or a random friend. Don’t pay for her drinks, her dinner, her movies, or her shopping any longer. You are just another friend of hers and you need to make sure she respects that. Also this means if you agree on friendship, those friends with benefit thoughts need to exit your mind quickly.
  5. Find it within yourself to forget what you had. Learning how to be friends with your ex-girlfriend means that you need to learn how to let bygones be bygones. You ended your relationship because clearly one or both of you were not happy. Now that you are choosing to be friends with your ex that does not mean it is now safe to continue the parts of your relationship you enjoyed but treat her like a friend the rest of the time.
Most importantly you need to be sure your actions are telling your ex-girlfriend that you are only friends. If you were the one to end the relationship as well as the one who chose to be friends some girls may take that as a sign that you aren’t over them. Becoming friends with your ex-girlfriend quickly after breaking up could be a very slippery slope. Step carefully, and be cautious that you are not crossing the line back into a relationship with your ex-girlfriend.

How to be a good ex girlfriend

0

You were the girlfriend but now you’re the ex. And it is time to make that joker pay, right? Wrong.
No matter how your relationship came to an end, it is over. This is not the time for you to become the ex-GF from hell. Taking the high road means a happier and healthier life for you. Put that grenade away. Living well is truly the best revenge.

Here’s how to be a good ex-girlfriend (even if he doesn’t deserve it!):

CUT social media connections.

He was not just the love of your life. He was your Facebook friend, your Tumblr buddy, your favorite re-tweeter and your main Pinterest. When a relationship is over it is time to un-friend and un-follow. The temptation to e-stalk is too great if you’re receiving daily Instagram photos of every date your ex goes on.

GIVE yourself closure.

Yeah, I know. Those 323 text messages are just your plea for closure. You think that you need to understand what exactly went wrong before you can move on. You want to hear your ex explain why what happened happened.

Here’s the deal. The only place where we’re guaranteed closure is in the movies. Your ex owes you nothing. Move on.

RELEASE family ties.

His sisters are in your phone’s Top 5 circle and you love his mom’s peach cobbler. They are as broken up about your break up as you are. Unfortunately, part of life sometimes means stepping away. When you break up with someone it often means breaking up with their family as well.

RESPECT his new relationships.

We don’t have to like the fact that our exes find someone new to love, but we should respect it. Life goes on. Sure, sometimes it seems like an ex BF can rebound while we’re still licking our wounds but the pain will pass.

DON’T stalk under any circumstance!

The number one rule for being a good ex-girlfriend is thou shalt not stalk. It’s over. Move forward and be awesome. You don’t wanna be that ex that everyone crosses the street to avoid.
Relationships will come and go. If you’re always looking back you can’t see your amazing future!

How to burn your ex girlfriend

0

Breaking up with a partner can sometimes be traumatic. Even though you saw it coming or made it happen yourself, you may not be ready for the impact of the break-up. Suddenly you are alone and no longer part of a couple. It feels like a giant missile burst up on your life crushing your dreams and aspirations, leaving your daily existence a strange and difficult place to be.

The feelings you are assailed with are many. It may be anger, hurt, insecurity, sadness, depression, self-revulsion and rage.   ‘I hate my ex’ is a common statement of a girl or boy who has just experienced a break-up. Hatred for the partner and self-loathing are the two common emotions experienced by a person who has broken up with his partner.

The feelings after a break-up may be overwhelming. The difficult part is that there are no ground rules for recovering, healing and moving on. From the rubble, you have to pick up the pieces and move on. Firstly you have to deal with anger. It is good to acknowledge the feelings of anger at first but it is best not to act on them. So you must release all that pent up rage somehow, like taking kickboxing classes or writing hate mail to your ex, which you never send. Even punch a few pillows and talk to your friends about your anger. The good thing is that, like all negative emotions that are expressed, these emotions will also fade away. Meanwhile you have to find your own stress busters.

Feelings of guilt are also common. You may wonder what exactly that you did which caused her to break up with you.  There is a lot of soul searching and self-criticism involved here to blame oneself for the break-up. The events of your past keep being replayed in your mind. But here you must give yourself a break and think positively about yourself. You must seek the company of friends and family to feel good about yourself. Instead of ruing over what went wrong and what you should have done differently, you must give yourself positive points for getting out of a doomed relationship.

Dealing with a break up involves the following steps:

1. Acceptance

Coming to terms that the relationship is over. This is a difficult stage, because we delay letting go and ending a bad relationship, with the hope that somehow things may improve, but they will not. Acceptance involves taking the step of closure, ending the relationship formally, so that no loose ends remain to tempt or worry you.

2. Understanding why it ended

This involves honest self-searching about why the relationship ended and what went wrong from the view of both partners. This maybe useful for the health of your future relationships. This also means avoiding the ‘If only’, ‘What if’ type of analysis that is self-defeating.

3. Grieving the loss

Give yourself time to mourn and pick up the pieces of your shattered life. It could be anything from a week to a year. Give yourself outlets to mourn - the shoulder of a relative or a friend, keeping a journal, talking with a counsellor or taking quiet walks by yourself.

4. Redirect your life

Bring a new meaning in your life by taking up new activities, making new friends, doing things which you always of dreamt but postponed etc. You will soon be drawn into the joyful currents of life and healed of your painful wounds.

To redirect your life and move on to a better and happier life you can:

Set new goals - Instead of being content with your present status, set new goals for yourself. Like improving your cricket or basketball. This will give you new skills and also an avenue to meet new people.

Throw away objects that remind you of the ex - Time to forget the old and ring in the new. Burn letters and photos if it disturbs your mind. Keep all memorabilia in deep storage.

Treat yourself gently - Pamper yourself with your favourite food, wine, sporting events, music, movies, vacation etc. Dress well, eat well.

Surround yourself with happy, positive people - They will lift your mind off the trauma of your break-up and get you laughing about the lighter things in life.

Volunteer to help the less fortunate - By helping others in need, you will appreciate better your current situation and feel less miserable and more fulfilled.

Remember why it didn’t work - Remembering past mistakes will help you to avoid them in future and make you a better person. Also, remembering the hurt caused by your ex will help you get over her faster and better.

Accept your sadness and be very kind to yourself - Do not pressurize yourself. Take time away from work if necessary. Buy books and attend workshops. Seek the help of a grief counsellor.

Create a formal  farewell ritual - If your relationship needs closure, create a comforting farewell ritual like burning letters and souvenirs. Or dumping her unwanted things into a river and bidding farewell.

Count your blessing every day - Take every day as a miracle with so many things to thank God for. It shifts focus from what you have,  away from  what you don’t have.

Compliment yourself - Make a list of your good qualities and remind yourself of them  often, to feel positive about yourself.

Go on a personal development workshop - where you will  brighten your self-image as well as meet interesting people wanting to improve their own lives.

5. Dealing with rejection

Having someone break up with you gives a blow to your self-esteem. It can lead to negative emotions like sadness and anger. Here you have to learn to be kind to yourself. Pamper yourself with pleasurable activities and positive vibes and do not generalize this rejection to future partners. Avoid thoughts like I am fat, I am stupid and other self-critical thoughts. Remember the positives and negatives of your ex in a realistic light.

Try not to deal with rejection in the following negative ways:
  • Chasing the girl thinking she will take you back
  • Isolating yourself
  • Drinking heavily or drug abuse
  • Jumping into another relationship to stop feeling lonely
  • Wallowing in depression
6. Growing emotionally from the experience

Through  the experience of  a failed romantic relationship, one can discover more about oneself and identify interpersonal needs. Once you grow through these six stages, you are ready to move on. From hating your ex, it is time to forget and forgive and fall in love again, perhaps with the best girl/boy out there for you.

How to be happy for your ex girlfriend

0

Listen to this song while you read. Itll be a full hub experience!!!

Its your worst nightmare. Not only did you suffer a horrific break up and spend the past few weeks fluctuating between sobbing and throwing things at your wall/TV/computer, but now your ex has gone and found someone new. How in the world are you supposed to see him around town and smile happily at him and his new beau?

Aside from relocation to another country (which is super inconvenient), here are some tips on how to be happy for your ex once he finds someone new:

Simple and Complete Avoidance (at the very least, in person)

The easiest way to be happy for your ex is from a distance. If youre not in the same vicinity, you can put on your veil of "Good for you, I dont care", without having to stare him straight in the eyes and attempt to fake an emotionless expression when he tells you hes moved on to someone new. Even a phone conversation is better than seeing him in person. The further the distance away from him, the easier it will be for you to move on and one day not want to trip his new girlfriend when shes walking down the stairs wearing 5 inch heels.

Bad at avoiding people? Here are some suggestions on where to start:

- Change grocery stores, banks, dry cleaners, coffee shops, anywhere you think your ex might show up. Its these pesky every day locations that you end up running into people you dont want to see.

- Check his Facebook/Twitter/etc. if you know youre going somewhere he likes to go (i.e. bar, club, other fun outing type place). This sounds stalkerish, but you can avoid an awkward encounter if you see that hes planning an outing to said place on the same night youre planning on being there. If his profile is private and you cant see it, find a friend of his who has a public profile. Its amazing what you can find...Im not the only one whos noticed this, right? Im not an internet stalker, I swear.

- Wear a wig. Get glasses. Change everything about your appearance so he wont recognize you. Ok Im kidding. That would be crazy.
"Fake It Til You Make It"

If these techniques havent worked and you end up running into your ex, fake it. "Fake it til you make it" usually refers to your future fabulous career, but it can be used in various situations, such as how you feel about yourself, and being happy for your ex. Pretend that youre happy for him, put on your best brave face, and one day youll find that you dont have to pretend anymore. This sounds silly, but it actually works.
Avoid his Facebook/Twitter/social media anything

Looking at his Facebook/Twitter/blog/whatever will only make matters worse. Dont torture yourself by scanning for pictures of your ex and his new girl or finding someone whos friends with her on Facebook so you can see what your ex writes on her wall. If you really want to be happy for your ex, youve got to let go of the past. And its impossible to do that when youre intertwined with your exs future with his new girl.
Find Someone New Yourself

Living well is the best revenge. Its one of my favorite sayings, and its also 100% true. Start dating again yourself (but only when youre ready). Dont rush into a new relationship--find somebody cute and have a few fun dates. If youre concentrating on a new someone, itll be easier to be happy for your ex and his new beau...or even better, not worry about what hes doing at all.
The Focus is Moving On, Not What Hes Doing

This is the most important part. Keep most of your focus on yourself and make yourself happy. It doesnt matter what hes doing in the long run or who hes dating. Hes ex, remember? Move on with your life day by day, until your life is uber fabulous again and youre not thinking about him anymore.
